The argument that the Bhurqa wearing Muslim women have is that if a Nun in christianity can wear Bhurqa look alike dress then why it is wrong for a Muslim woman to wear bhurqa. I would be grateful if you could shed some light on this please. I have a few friends who wear Bhurqas; your reply will be appreciated in order to tackle their arguments.

Thank you for your review 749. The purpose of the French ambassador for writing article in a Pakistani Tribune is to try to explain the French position regarding the Bhurqa veil ban and to prepare ground before the impending law comes into effect in France in September; this is meant to soften the blow of those nutcases in Pakistan who might protest agaist it and burn their own properties. I don’t think it is a guilty conscience on the part of the French government.

Thank you for your review 741. I read your article GB3 and I thank you for replying to my request. I agree with you that Hijab should be = Modesty Plus rather than a headscarf wrapped around our heads. What kind of modesty the scarf would impart? It would only pleases our Ullamahs for keeping us under their control like the Saudi Shaikhs are doing to their women forcing them to breastfeed men?
